Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best recognized for her role as House in the Fox the medical thriller House. As a child of strictly Jewish childhood she was able to move from Wayne to New York City when she was 18 to attend Tisch School of Arts. The school was heavily involved in the nightlife scene in New York City and was able to get recognized in the press. At the same time she began to become aware of AIDS its devastating consequences. The singer used her training in music and fame to create and star in a new musical, Positive Me. She landed her first job on MTV as anchor of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. After the show was finished the actress went on to join the film as well as TV productions. Her first job was in small parts and established herself slowly as an actress.
